FAQs

  • While Urban Phoenix Project was started with a downtown focus, we’re committed to advancing urbanism throughout Phoenix. Solutions will be different for each type of neighborhood, but everyone can benefit from good pedestrian infrastructure, protected bike lanes, and transit access.

  • Follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter for the latest scoop on our happy hour meetups and more.

  • We advance urbanism through education, community engagement, and advocacy with city departments and elected officials. UPP works not only to spread ideas of urbanism, but also to get projects and policies approved that will create a more livable city.

  • UPP reviews zoning cases to ensure that proposed changes are appropriate. For example, high-density developments along the light rail should be oriented towards the street and welcome in pedestrians for shopping and dining. UPP works with developers to achieve changes, and when needed advocates at the city level on specific projects.
